It's never too hot to knit!

It's never too hot to knit!

Do you ever find yourself too hot to knit?  Or are you like me and just can't put the needles down?

I do, however, implement strategies to get me through the heat of summer.  Things like knitting a lighter project; knitting with cotton; and even knitting while my feet are soaking in a tub of cold water.   Mmmmm, bliss.

This project, above is one such 'lighter project'.  This is my 'Birds of a Feather' by Andrea Mowry.  It's a great pattern and it is a very quick knit.  I used two skeins of Ridge Top Fibre Studio's Silky Merino in 'Heath' and two balls of Rowan's Kidsilk Haze in the colourway, 'Dewberry'.

I also have the printed pattern available in store.  If you would like a kit, just let me know.

Now, as the heat is rising I think I'll move on to some cotton knitting.  A t-shirt might be just the thing.
